John L’s music has its roots in the Gospel choirs of his native Mississippi, and in his 30-year career he’s toured with BB King, Muddy Waters and Jimi Hendrix.
A heady potion of Deep South Soul mixed with Northern hard-driving electric Blues is served here in one hectic but highly atmospheric day’s recording in October 1998 at London’s Denmark Street Studios.
