Dave Dix (Vocals and Harmonica) Dave's first band was the legendary Squalid Walid and the Druze Blues Band, a Dr. Feelgood/9 Below Zero style combo. Then Dave took over the harp/vox slot in '58 Deluxe, which hosted the late-lamented blues jam at the Tufnell Park Tavern in north London. But tired of screaming blooze-rawk guitarists, Dave was always on the lookout for more sympathetic surroundings in which to ply his art. In The Odysseys, he hopes he's found it. |
Pete Duke (Bandleader and Bassist) Formerly with UK blues band “Little Matthew & The Intentions” a band who performed endlessly up and down the country, and recorded for GLR radio. He also served 5 long years as bandleader and Bassist backing American near-legend Mississippi John L Watson, who had a string of successful singles, albums, and European Radio & TV performances to his credit. This collaboration saw an 8-piece Odyssey Blues Band perform a live BBC Radio 1 show for DJ Andy Kershaw, and they followed this with tours that took in The London Barbican Centre, Shepherds Bush Empire and Brixton Academy, plus The Isle of Wight and Dublin Temple Bar Blues festivals, amongst many many others. Has also played with The Pretty Things, Blues Corporation, and Shakey Vic. |

Jamie Rowan (Keyboards) The first music Jamie can remember hearing as a child was Big Bill, Muddy Waters, and Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee. He got to a piano at the age of five, and has been at it ever since! Over his 25 year music career, he has played the length and breadth of the UK , and all the best places in Europe . You may have seen him on television, heard him on radio, and probably applauded him in your local blues bar. He has paid his dues working solo, with his own bands, and touring and recording with such legends as Brian Knight, Otis Grand, and Big Joe Louis. And now the Odyssey Blues Band. |
